What if I am in receipt of State benefits?

 

If you are receiving any of the following benefits you will automatically pass the means assessment for Legal Aid:

  • Income Support

  • Income-Related Employment and Support Allowance (ESA)

  • Income-Based Jobseeker's Allowance (JSA)

  • Guarantee State Pension Credit

 

I am receiving benefits, but not any of the benefits listed above

  • It does not mean you will not be eligible for legal aid. However, you will need to answer more questions and advise on your finances further in order to apply for legal aid.
